It's always something... (part 2)
Alright, so Department H is once again needs more of my time. So on top of the 50 hours I'm putting in there I need to put in non-work time for a "special project". I've pretty much exhausted everything I reviewed when I was off at the beginning of January. That stuff was meant to get me through dry spots but it ended up being primary content. The last couple of weeks I haven't watched anything and I've only been playing two games. I web sling in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and I play the fight challenges in Batman: Arkham City because those two things put me in a weird zen place of relaxation. But I'm struggling to keep up with Arrow and that's only an hour a week so forget sitting down to a movie and doing a review. Anyway, it looks like it's another hiatus. I'll post stuff as I have time or feel inclined but mostly it's work for me.

It's always something...
Well, my laptop a'sploded last week. My laptop is pretty much my only access to the innertubes so I couldn't post anything last week that wasn't already scheduled. I just got a new laptop so I'm hoping to be ready to go by Sunday and then after that it should be more regular.

Cosplay Wednesday
This week we have even more Captain America. At this point you should know the history of Cap so I'm going to keep it short. James Buchanan started life as Cap's sidekick and while it was originally thought he was little more than a sidekick it turned out that Bucky was there to do all the dark and dirty things Cap couldn't do to maintain his iconic reputation. Eventually Bucky was thought dead when he couldn't free himself from a Nazi missile. It turned out Bucky was found by the Russians, fitted with a cyber arm and then brainwashed into the Winter Soldier where he did Commie black ops for the better part of a half century. Eventually the Winter Soldier came up against Cap and had his memory jogged. Eventually Bucky took on the role of Captain America to help usher in the Heroic Age.
The Bucky costume is good, comic accurate, he has the right body type and a Tommy gun which is both period accurate and what came with the action figure. He looks the part, he's dressed the part and the costume is solid.
Below that we have 2 versions of Captain America and a Cappette (the the lack of a better term). The costumes are well made and everyone showed up in shape ready to play. Well done everyone.

Friday's with Blinky: Blue Beetle PSA
But, just like I say to the ladies, don't let it's length fool you, it's just as good as something longer and will still leave you satisfied.
This week I picked something from Blinky500 to show support for the Deadpool Webseries as well as the Save One to Save Many campaign. So we get one of my most favorite teams ever in Blue and Gold (Blue Beetle and Booster Gold) giving a PSA about smoking. I can't really find who's playing Booster but Beetle is played by Chris .R. Notarile and they both do a great job. Even though it's just over a minute long they have great back and forth, the script is good and you get a couple of great character moments. Even the kids do a pretty decent job with their thick Jersey accents. I don't have much to say about this because it is so short other than this is why we need fan films. This is made by a person who is passionate about the characters, comics and film making and that is obvious in everything done by Blinky. This takes characters that will never see the light of day in pretty much anything other than the comics and puts them on a bigger stage and does it very well in the process.
